Beovox S 80 was the largest of the last generation of the S range to be a pressure chamber in construction. It had a solid plywood cabinet with a chipboard back covered in black vinyl and a moulded resin front which was screwed to the cabinet. Two grilles were fitted to the front by plastic pegs and the gap in between housed an indicator for speaker overload and a reset button.
Restored in many parts , they are one of the best speakers of the 80ies . Rosewood or teak . they will be tested with a B&O hi-fi system . See pictures .
Personal note: Considering the work and care put into restoring these speakers, the price is a gift.
Private collection.
