The Beocord 9000 provided the highest possible quality for those demanding it. It was very expensive (a popular British magazine stated that it was the most expensive single capstan domestic cassette deck on the market) and complicated, but remained available until 1986 when the Beomaster 6000 and Beocord 8004 were withdrawn.
Splendid model and considered one of the best cassette recorders ever made in the world.
This model comes with new drive belts (Danish Sound Parts) and a new Tapedeck idler wheel rubber set .
Tape playback issue: When playing a cassette, pressing "play" often fails to start the cassette, requiring you to repeat the process. This can be caused by the cassette itself, but it's more likely to be a sensor issue or a slight movement of the transport mechanism. This problem doesn't affect playback quality, but it's obviously not something that was present when the player was first used. Considering that the Beocord was produced from 1982 to 1986, these are normal issues and are best left untouched. If the cassette does not start, you have to wait about 2 seconds and press ''play'' again.
Personal note: When listening to various cassettes, I noticed that the classical music recordings were always of the highest quality, while many pop music cassettes, even if original, are often of questionable quality. In my opinion, the Beocord 9000 (and the 8004) is suitable for those who want the highest quality from classical music reproductions.
The device will be tested with a B&O hi-fi system. I am not responsible for any malfunctions in the event of shipping and always recommend the first option. Private collection.
