This 1940s Chronometre Henglebert / Angelus step-case chronograph is a very interesting and qualitative chronograph in good working order and in an excellent condition Henglebert operated as a brand that sourced movements from Swiss manufacturers, mainly Angelus, and cased them for the Belgian and European markets during the 1930s through 1950s. The chromed metal step-case with steel back and oval chrono pushers measures 37mm excluding the crown.
The pressure-locked steel caseback closes firmly, the case is in an excellent condition and shows only light traces of use.
The plexiglass crystal is in perfect condition. The original silvered dial is in a very good condition with only a light and even time patina with large Arabic numerals and a red outer telemeter scale. The movement is based on the Angelus caliber 215, a robust and qualitative manual-wind chronograph caliber, a movement which was also used by brands like Minerva, Alpina and Revue Thommen. The movement has been fully serviced and timed for accuracy.
