First things first, I genuinely love this bike. The CP3 engine is fantastic—full of character, strong where it matters, and simply great fun to ride. The only reason I am selling it is because my wife and I want to do more long-distance touring together, so I am moving to a larger motorcycle that is more comfortable for two-up riding.

One of the biggest advantages of this particular XSR900 is that it is currently configured at 32 kW, making it suitable for an A2 licence. Despite being restricted, it still has plenty of torque and retains everything that makes the CP3 engine so enjoyable. It feels lively, pulls strongly through the low and mid-range, and never feels like a “restricted” motorcycle. If preferred, I am also happy to return it to full power for the next owner.

The bike currently has approximately 16,300 km and is still being ridden occasionally, so the mileage may increase slightly. Before it is sold, it will receive a brand-new front tyre, a full service next week, and will go through a fresh MFK on 28 July. The next owner will receive a motorcycle that is freshly serviced, fitted with a new front tyre, has a valid MFK, and is ready to ride immediately without having to spend anything.

The bike has been tastefully modified with a mix of practical and cosmetic upgrades, including bar-end mirrors, a tail tidy, a custom seat, side bags, and a tank bag, along with a number of smaller cosmetic improvements that complement the original XSR design. The luggage makes the bike genuinely practical for weekend trips and touring, while the modifications give it a cleaner and more distinctive appearance than a standard XSR900.

The motorcycle has been well maintained, carefully ridden, and properly looked after throughout my ownership. It starts first time, runs perfectly, and is mechanically sound. It has never let me down and has always been a pleasure to ride. This is not a forced sale, and I am not trying to get rid of it. In fact, I still thoroughly enjoy every ride on it. I simply want something larger that offers more comfort for longer journeys with my wife.
