The M-9000 from TOA Electronics combines a modular matrix mixer, digital signal processor (DSP) and two line level outputs into a 2U rack-mountable unit ideal for music distribution, multi-zone paging, and room combining. It features eight module slots for custom configuring of up to eight mic/line inputs and eight outputs. Two channels of digital signal processing include ten-band parametric EQ, compressor, eight-level ducking, high and low pass filters, loudness contour, bass and treble, delay, and speaker EQ presets, with more options available using the optional D-001T and T-001T modules.

The M-9000 operates in one of two discrete modes, "Mixer" and "Matrix", which allows it to be used for both mixing and for multi-zone paging. Other features include telephone zone paging, ambient noise control, and automatic microphone mixing. Module options include inputs, outputs, zone paging modules, and more.
