This second generation Aerospace was introduced in 1994, succeeding the earlier E56062. housing caliber B56—Breitling's designation for the seven-jewel ETA 988.332 quartz movement with chronograph functions to 1/100th second, perpetual calendar, second timezone, alarm, and approximately three-year battery life.
The 40mm brushed titanium case has a snap-on caseback, sapphire crystal, and unidirectional ratcheted bezel with gold rider tabs at cardinal positions, and measures only 9mm in thickness.
Production continued to 1996 when Breitling introduced the B65-powered Repetition Minutes Aerospace with a minute-repeater chiming complication.
