Rare 34mm steel Universal Geneve “Polerouter Geneve” wristwatch, Ref. 204604-9, powered by automatic Microtor Calibre 218-2, made circa 1960s.
The Microtor was among the thinnest automatic movements in the world at its introduction, built around a compact oscillating mass that sits between the movement’s bridges rather than on top, shaving off precious millimeters. It keeps the watch slim and wearable in a way that a full-rotor automatic of the same era simply cannot match.
The dial is the star here – a deep chocolate-brown gloss that original factory black lacquer develops over decades through natural oxidation. It’s exactly the kind of patina that serious collectors actively search for, impossible to fake and impossible to stop. The applied baton indexes with luminous dots, luminous baton hands, the recessed date integrated into the bezel. Original crystal with magnifying glass over the date. Watch comes in its original Universal Genève red box.
Watch is in overall great condition 9/10, running and ready to wear or gift!
