Dave Hunter is an American journalist and musician who has worked in both Britian and the USA.
Dave has written many books on guitars and amps, and is the former editor of Guitar Magazine.
Barrie Cadogan is a British guitarist voted by hit-songwriter/musician/producer Edwyn Collins as "the best guitarist of his generation".
He lives in London and has worked for top UK guitar emporium Vintage and Rare.
Dave Gregory is a highly-experienced guitarist, keyboard player and arranger, a member of the cult British band XTC from 1979 to 1998, and an inveterate collector of vintage guitars and musical equipment.
He has also recorded with Peter Gabriel, Aimee Mann, Marc Almond, Jason Donovan, Steve Hogarth, Cathal Coughlan, Porcupine Tree, The Shadow Kabinet and Lulu, amongst many others.
Lee Hodgson is a renowned UK-based session guitarist and performer. Lee is a regular contributor to Guitar Techniques, and is a tutor at the London Guitar Institute.

Absolutely brilliant
I haven't bought many guitar books, but this one hits the spot on. Starts at beginners level and goes to quite advanced so a book I will use for many years yet without the need to buy further books.
DVD content is easily followed and helped immensely to get me through that first learning curve so I was soon able to learn & memorise easy tunes.
You can use the DVD and book together or each alone. Brilliant, highly recommend this book/DVD set.
Great extra book on guitar history and the different manufacturers of guitars.
Fantastic for All Levels
This is a fantastic book. I am a intermediate level guitarist.
This book starts off with the basics of guitar and music. It then steps you through learning guitar at a nice pace.
In the end, (I'm not there yet), the playing level is significant.
The accompanying CD has the guitar lessons at slow and normal speeds so you can really get a feel for the material and practice at an appropriate speed.
I highly recommend this book.
Excellent Reference Book
This is an excellent reference book. It includes CD and DVD music tabs, and a history of guitar manufacturers.
All of this comes on heavy paper with excellent illustrations.
An excellent resource.
