the water reservoir 1 has markings to indicate the correct level for water, rice/grains, or pasta. The warmer 2 is microwave-proof; food is only heated by steam from the water reservoir. Additionally, the steamer basket can be used as a sieve for pouring or, with a lid, for temporary warming. The sieve insert 3 allows for two-level steaming. Lid 4 is also microwave-proof, meaning the food is cooked almost entirely by rising steam, while simultaneously trapping the steam inside the container. Cooking container 5 and cooking lid 6 minimize the risk of overcooking rice and grains.
