Mathey-Tissot Type XX 1950s Fully Original Pilot Provenance
Offered for sale is this Mathey-Tissot Type XX from the 1950s, an authentic example preserved in remarkably original condition.
This watch has had a single owner: my father, who was a pilot. It has been stored for decades in a safe, with very little use, which explains its outstanding state of preservation.
The dial is entirely original, showing an even and natural patina. It has never been restored, relumed, or altered in any way. The case remains unmodified, retaining its original geometry and edges, without excessive polishing.
The movement is original and has only received a light service (lubrication), with no parts replaced or altered. The watch is running perfectly +5s/d.
Examples of this model are becoming increasingly difficult to find in such honest, untouched condition. This piece is intended for a collector who values originality and historical integrity over cosmetic restoration.
