The engine is the pre‑LP 5.0 V10 with 500 hp. Those who are familiar with the different Gallardo generations will already know that this is the even‑firing version of the V10, developed exclusively for the Gallardo and not shared with Audi. Its signature is the high‑pitch, razor‑sharp sound reminiscent of early Formula 1 engines.
In addition, the car has no mechanical faults whatsoever. However, due to age, the battery and the tyres should be replaced, and a recommended service by a Lamborghini specialist is advised before driving it on the German Autobahn or similar high‑speed roads.
This service and full inspection can be carried out by Lamborghini Porrentruy for an additional CHF 5,000, payable after the full purchase of the car.
Otherwise, the car can be taken as‑is, turnkey. It currently starts with a booster, simply because the battery needs replacement — this is important to note.
The only very minor cosmetic imperfections are a small scratch on the left front door and the removable key‑cover piece on the door handle. Considering its age, it is extremely rare to find a Gallardo preserved to this level. The car is exceptional, and I am parting with it only due to lack of time and resources to maintain it as it deserves.
