The master grade Imbuya top on this instrument is simply breath-taking, and combined with the stunning ripped Sycamore body and Stainless Steel pickguard, it makes for a truly attention-grabbing guitar.
The design has been tweaked slightly from the original Firebird shape- the waist has been pulled in slightly and the curves altered for a more comfortable playing position. Also the weight distribution has been altered to help combat the top-heavy problem found with the original Gibson Firebirds, by using heavier body and lighters neck materials.
This guitar is immensely playable and hugely versatile. The pickups are uniquely voiced and, due to the slightly hotter voicing than you might expect from mini-humbuckers, they are able to go from cool and crisp cleans right through to screaming lead tones effortlessly.
The Icarus comes with a fully fitted flight case, certificate of authenticity.
