...This was made in 1959 as a training aid for British soldiers. It is a re-staging of how captured British soldiers were treated by the People’s Army of China during the Korean War. It is very austere but they use real actors and not people who have used make up to look more Chinese etc and this adds to the authenticity.

...Exploring the complex ways in which British POWs responded to brainwashing and torture techniques during the Korean War, John Krish's realistic and disturbing drama was previously only ever shown to a highly restricted audience of military officials. Made available to the public for the first time, Captured is presented here alongside a number of other Krish films that were designed to warn, advise and inform, all of which have been transferred from the best available film materials.
