Used, fully functioning and in perfect condition. An essential piece of a music production set-up and for your home studio.
The Behringer Model D is essentially a desktop/Eurorack version of the classic Minimoog Model D architecture. It is a fully analog, monophonic, 3-oscillator synthesizer designed primarily for huge basses, leads and raw analog sequences. Behringer explicitly bases it on the original “D Type” circuitry.
What makes it special
3 VCOs
- Three independent analog oscillators.
- Multiple waveforms including saw, triangle, square and pulse.
- Each covers a very wide range, from low-frequency territory up to high octaves.
- You can stack all three for extremely thick sounds.
The famous 24 dB/oct ladder filter
- This is the heart of the instrument.
- Low-pass and high-pass modes.
- Cutoff, resonance/“emphasis” and filter envelope controls.
- Very strong resonance and that characteristic fat, rounded Moog bass → screaming resonant lead transition.
Analog signal path
Everything important is analog: VCO → mixer → filter → VCA, with an analog LFO as well. This is why it feels considerably more “alive” and immediate than a digital emulation.
