The Avalon S42C guitar is a high-quality acoustic model known for its craftsmanship and tonal excellence. Typically, Avalon guitars are handcrafted in Northern Ireland, emphasizing traditional luthiery techniques combined with modern design.
This S42C features a solid alpine European spruce top and a flamed maple body with scalloped X-bracing, providing a rich, balanced sound suited for both fingerstyle and strumming playing styles. Its design includes a modified V neck shape for comfortable playability and a scale length around 24.9 inches.
I purchased this Avalon guitar in 2023 in Switzerland directly from the Swiss dealer who originally commissioned the guitar at Avalon.
