An interesting chinese decorated plate Qianlong (1736-1795) in "famille rose" enamel.
The central medaillon scene
with Venus seated in a chaise among clouds drawn by a pair of doves, cupid at her side aiming his arrow at a joung mann sleeping on a grassy slope, amoured figure beside him, possibly Minerva protecting him with her shield. a narrow gilt-filigree border around the well, and a band of sprearheads
encircling the rim.
The plate is in very well condition.
