Model 1930 / Design 30
Based on a 1930's telephone
Made by the Telefon Fabrik Automatic København (Copenhagen), the D30 was introduced in 1931. The number 30 refers to the year 1930.
The D30 was used by K.T.A.S. (Københavns Telefon AktieSelskab) exclusively, the last ones being in service in the 1980s. There are examples marked with elaborate JYDSK decals, but these were applied after the phones were sold by K.T.A.S.
Originally they were supplied in the colour black with the occasional white. On top of the case are two raised oblongs, the left one for the number label and the right hand one was sometimes fitted with a transparent window that covered a counter/meter. They were also fitted with a Bakelite handset.
Expoga resprayed and refurbished these sets sometimes plating them in place of paint. They also used an older style handset.
