Born in 1963, Markus Rufer is a trained plumber. For the realization of his first design ideas, he was able to make use of the scrap iron container and the leftovers from his apprenticeship. His first objects were money boxes (Sparkässeli), later Rufer also turned to the material stainless steel. In 2003 he was nominated for the "Berner Design Award" with a collection of small pieces of furniture. The furniture is all made of stainless steel, is laser-cut and can be individually assembled and thus shaped. A special cavity construction creates a high load-bearing capacity, from which customers of our Swiss design furniture store also benefit.
