This used Sony NEX-5 digital camera is in good functional condition. It comes with an E 3.5-5.6/PZ 16-50 OSS lens. The camera shows standard signs of previous use but remains in working order. After listing the camera, I performed an additional test and discovered a problem.
The camera appears to function normally without the lens attached. However, when I attach the included Sony 16–50mm lens, the camera does not recognize the aperture and refuses to take pictures.
I cannot confirm whether the problem is caused by the camera body, the lens, or the connection between them. I have not been able to fully test the camera's photographic functionality.
For this reason, the camera and lens are now being sold AS DEFECTIVE / FOR REPAIR OR SPARE PARTS ONLY, with no guarantee of functionality.
