The Rolex Explorer, reference 114270, is the understated adventurer of the Rolex family, introduced in 2001 as the successor to the much-loved 14270 and carrying forward a legacy that stretches all the way back to 1953. This certified pre-owned example from 2008 is offered in very good condition and comes with its full set, including the original warranty card.

Crafted entirely in stainless steel, the 114270 sits in a perfectly proportioned 36mm Oyster case with a smooth bezel, closed caseback, and sapphire crystal. Water resistant to 100 metres, it is the kind of watch that looks just as right on a mountain ridge as it does at a Geneva dinner table.

The black dial is a masterclass in restraint, with the signature Arabic numerals that make the Explorer instantly recognisable, joined by luminescent hour markers and the classic Explorer handset for crisp legibility at a glance. No date, no fuss, just pure, honest timekeeping.

Powering the watch is the Rolex Calibre 3130, a robust in-house automatic movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a 48-hour power reserve. Hours, minutes, and seconds, delivered with the quiet reliability Rolex is famous for.

The watch is fitted with the steel Oyster bracelet with solid end links, offering a secure, comfortable fit and a timeless sporty look that suits any wrist.

Available now at Minty Watches, this certified pre-owned luxury watch is a rare opportunity for collectors of pre-owned luxury timepieces in Geneva.

A pre-owned watch in Geneva that proves the best adventures need nothing more than three hands and a black dial.
