Rolex Datejust ref. 1601 – Full Set from 1970 – Only 3 owners
A Datejust with a family story
This watch was bought new on 8 June 1970 at Geneva Watch Co. in Kowloon by its first owner, a lady. It was later passed down to her granddaughter, and I am now its third owner. That is just three owners in 56 years, and the original papers have stayed with the watch the whole time.
A full set with this kind of provenance is getting harder and harder to find.

– Silver sunburst dial with applied baton markers, "Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified"

– Acrylic crystal with Cyclops date magnifier
– Stainless steel Jubilee bracelet with Rolex-signed folding clasp
Complete original set
– Rolex guarantee booklet stamped with reference 1601 and the serial number, dated and signed by the dealer (8 June 1970)
– Official Chronometer Certification with wax seal
– Green leather Rolex inner box
– Rolex Oyster outer box
The serial number on the papers matches the watch. The full serial number is available to serious buyers on request.
