Polished red/orange agate slice with a grey-white quartz/chalcedony centre and natural rough outer edge.
The piece has attractive colour contrast: a strong reddish agate border, translucent grey areas, white banding, and small sparkling crystal areas in the centre.Two faces are polished, while the outer edge has been left natural, giving it a decorative mineral-specimen look.
78mm long.
This came from an old family mineral collection. I am not a mineral dealer, but the identification as agate with quartz/chalcedony is very clear from the banding, colour and crystal structure.
Condition: good decorative condition, with natural rough edges and irregularities as expected for a cut mineral slice. Please see photos.
