Das Thermometer ist in dieser Variante abgewinkelt und verfügt über einen speziellen Bügel, der es ermöglicht das Messgerät am Schalenrand zu fixieren. Es besteht aus bruchsicherem Glas. Die Temperatur wird nicht per Quecksilber sondern mittels Alkohol ermittelt. Der primäre Vorteil von Alkoholthermometern ist die erhöhte Sicherheit für den Menschen und die Umwelt.
