A beautiful and exceptionally rare Issey Miyake Mainline Constructed T-Shirt, made in Japan. At first glance it appears to be a simple black tee, but the construction reveals Miyake's signature experimental approach to garment design.

The standout feature is the sculptural raised panel detailing across the shoulders and upper back. Rather than embroidery, these are carefully applied fabric channels that create a striking three-dimensional effect, mirrored symmetrically across both sides. The result is a subtle highly architectural design that is unmistakably Issey Miyake.

The shirt features a slightly cropped front with a gently extended curved back hem, creating a silhouette that works perfectly on its own or layered.

Finding this model is exceptionally difficult, it is a true archive piece that never appears on the market.

Condition

Excellent vintage condition.

Shows only light, gentle signs of wear consistent with careful use. No holes, stains, or structural flaws. The raised panel construction remains in excellent shape, making this an outstanding example for its age.
