After forensic scientist Dr. "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) is back from her research trip and FBI Agent Booth (David Boreanaz) has largely recovered from his operation, there is already a lot of work waiting for the dream team.
The eerily bizarre cases are about an ominous clairvoyant, a mummy in the fence, a dwarf who was a professional wrestler, a supposedly kind-hearted homeowner and a dead person who, strangely enough, also has the characteristics of a bird. What concerns Bones and Booth at least as much as the corpses on the dissection table are their still undefined feelings towards one another. Can there be a future for both of them? What is clear is that each of them has an important decision to make - possibly the most important of their lives.
