That damned Dreamcast Zip drive I searched for over ten years without ever finding. However, my quest for the holy grail led me to discover Dreamcast Zip disks instead.
SEGA wanted to transform the Dreamcast into a multimedia station with the Swatch module and a strange accessory that plugged underneath the console, similar to the karaoke station. It would have allowed users to save things onto Zip disks such as DLC and much more.
Unfortunately, the accessory was cancelled due to internal conflicts within SEGA (between Sega Japan’s marketing department and the engineers).
