First things first, I genuinely love this bike. The CP3 engine is fantastic, full of character, strong where it matters and simply great fun to ride. The only reason I am selling it is because my wife and I want to do more long-distance touring together, so I am moving to a larger motorcycle that offers more comfort for two-up riding.
One of the biggest advantages of this particular XSR900 is that it is currently configured at 32 kW, making it suitable for an A2 licence. Despite being restricted, it still has plenty of torque and retains everything that makes the CP3 engine so enjoyable. It feels lively, pulls strongly through the low and mid-range and never feels like a typical restricted motorcycle. I am also happy to return it to full power for the next owner if preferred.
The bike currently has approximately 16,300 km and is still being ridden occasionally, so the mileage may increase slightly. It has just received a full service, a brand-new front tyre and a fresh MFK. The next owner will therefore receive a freshly serviced motorcycle that is ready to ride immediately without any additional expense.
The bike has been tastefully modified with a combination of practical and cosmetic upgrades, including bar-end mirrors, a tail tidy, a custom seat, side bags and a tank bag, together with several smaller cosmetic improvements that complement the original XSR design. The luggage makes it genuinely practical for weekend trips and touring, while the modifications give it a cleaner and more distinctive appearance than a standard XSR900.
The motorcycle has been well maintained, carefully ridden and properly looked after throughout my ownership. It starts first time, runs perfectly and is mechanically sound. It has never let me down and has always been a pleasure to ride.
This is not a forced sale and I am not trying to get rid of it. I still thoroughly enjoy riding it. I simply need something larger and more comfortable for longer journeys with my wife.
