Brief description
In the middle of the night, the Harvard professor of symbolism Robert Langdon is called to the Louvre in Paris: the museum director has been murdered. His corpse, found in a posture like that of the Vitruvian Man by Leonardo da Vinci, is the first gruesome clue in a chain of codes and symbols. At the risk of his life, Langdon decrypts hidden messages in Leonardo da Vinci's works of art with the help of the police cryptographer Sophie Neveu. All point to a legendary brotherhood. The breathless scavenger hunt leads Langdon and Sophie from Paris via London to Scotland; meanwhile, they are trying to crack the code to reveal a secret that will shake humanity to its foundations.
