...An animated version of one of Terry Pratchett's most popular 'Discworld' novels. Three witches gather on a wet and windy moor, a ghost visits his son and tells him of his own murder, and the son plans a play to reveal the truth. Seems familiar? Well, the inhabitants of this odd land (a turtle travels through space with four elephants on its back who carry the flat world) play out a story that comically mixes elements of 'Hamlet' and 'The Scottish Play'. Also featuring Death, the Orang Utan librarian and the crusty old witch Nanny Weatherax.

...Absolutely ecstatic I am at finding this cartoon mini-series on DVD after a patient hunt spanning many years. I love the Pratchett Discworld stories and was captivated when the Wyrd Sisters was broadcast on TV.

I've found the other Cosgrove/Hall Discworld mini-series Soul Music for sale from the same source, it is such a pity they only made the two as they are head, shoulders and boots above the live-action Discworld movies that have been televised on Sky, not as 'mucked about' either.
