ACOUSTIC GUITAR WITH SOLID BUBINGA BACK AND SIDES.
The satin mahogany neck, fitted with an ebony fingerboard, has a flat profile to help players enjoy this instrument even more. The truss rod of the steel-string version allows adjustment in both directions to obtain a perfect shape on the neck in all positions. A glass fibre rod which was developed in-house improves the resistance on the neck of the classical version. Schertler stands for the top end of acoustic instrument amplification and so this outstanding guitar is equipped with the most accurately reproducing transducers and electronics available.
The guitar is bordered by an elegant rosewood binding, contrasted by a fine binding line in maple. The solid ebony bridge guarantees a perfectly flat surface. Like the nut, the saddle is also carved in bone and is precisely fitted to give a string angle of 12°. This facilitates transmitting the string vibrations to the Bluestick with greatest efficiency and offers better compensation in tuning when string action is raised or lowered. The top and the guitar bracing are selected from the best Swiss alpine spruce. The trees were cut in the appropriate moon phase for the most healthy and great-sounding wood.
The sound hole border is artistically made in rosewood. The inside label gives model information and the signatures of Claudio Pagelli and Stephan Schertler, expressing their conviction of the guitar’s quality.
The headstock is reinforced by a 3mm-thick piece of ebony for better tone and to create the elegant optical effect of an elongated fingerboard. The lightweight slotted headstock adds to the overall balance of the neck and reveals the custom-made Schertler machineheads. These are of the highest quality and feature lightweight ebony knobs.
Schertler guitars were born from a unique collaboration between Stephen Schertler, Swiss guitar designer Claudio Pagelli. Schertler guitars exclusively feature the Schertler DUAL pickup system and the design of Claudio Pagelli, a guitar builder of international repute All models are available in both steel-string and nylon-string classical versions.""
