Wander Fernandes Lara (Belo Horizonte, MG, 1954). Painter, draftsman, teacher.
He studies painting and freehand drawing in a private studio. In the 1970s, he takes several drawing courses in the city of São Paulo, among them a course in humorous drawing at the Promotora Profissional Brasileira, in 1973, the same year he moves to Jequitinhonha, MG, and becomes an art education teacher at the Colégio Estadual de Jequitinhonha. In the following years, he works as an art teacher in Brasília and Belo Horizonte. He attends the Guignard School in 1976 and becomes the administrative director of the Association of Plastic Artists of Minas Gerais between 1978 and 1980. He creates murals in Jequitinhonha and Vitória da Conquista, BA. In the 1990s, he holds several solo exhibitions in cities throughout Minas Gerais.
