Omega Speedmaster “Transitional” 145.022-68 ST - Cal. 861 - Pre-Moon
A genuinely correct example of the rarest and most sought-after 145.022 sub-reference - produced for barely a year as Omega bridged the cal. 321 to the cal. 861, and increasingly hard to find with its original parts still intact.
Dial & Case
• Correct applied metal Omega logo, long hour markers
• Original DON bezel - excellent, collector-grade condition
• Case in great condition for its age
Crown
• Original A1 narrow-logo, flat-foot crown. This is the single most commonly replaced part on these watches. Most 68s on the market today have a later replacement fitted. A correct original example like this is genuinely hard to find.
Movement
• Cal. 861: the first movement generation to replace the column-wheel cal. 321, robust and easy to service
• 27324XXX movement serial number places this in the correct range for the Transitional
Bracelet
• Fitted with a vintage steel 633/1161 bracelet/end links (not the correct period 1039). Spare links included, and would consider offers for head only.
