The original artwork drawn by Constantine Anderson was begun in 1961 and continously updated by him until 1981. Since that time, Allon, Ryzinski & Martinez Architects have rendered more than sixty buildings to update the map through January 1985. In addition to accurately proportioned drawings of every building small and large, the maps amazing detail includes subway stations, bus shelters, telephone booths, building canopies, trees and potted street planters.
