MTG Vintage Miscut Set - German Ice Age - Factory Square Corners & Alignment Dots
These beautiful error cards come from the 1996 "Ice Age" Magic: The Gathering expansion set, which was published by Wizards of the Coast (WotC)
This set represents a "perfect storm" of printing errors that rarely escape the factory. Serious MTG collectors seek these out for three specific reasons:
• Factory Square Corners: Most miscuts still have rounded edges. These cards missed the final "die-cut" stage entirely. Finding "Square Corners" on cards pulled directly from a pack is exceptionally rare, as these sheets are almost always flagged by quality control and destroyed before packaging.
• Vintage German "Eiszeit" Era (1996): While modern misprints are more common due to increased production, errors from the mid-90s are scarce. Finding a matching set of six from the same sheet is a once-in-a-decade find for error connoisseurs.
• The "Alignment Dot" . : You can see the technical printer's marks (dot) on the top left corner edges. These dots are intended to be trimmed off during production. Their presence is the ultimate proof of a True Factory Miscut, distinguishing them from common "off-center" cards or hand-cut fakes.
- I have put the Bergziege card as an example you can see the alignment dot on top left corner as well as an extra bubble dot error under his mouth.
-The Krovikanischer hexenmeister card also some bubble dot error marked as extra error to add to the alignment dot error and factory square corners.
This is a museum-grade "Sheet Edge" error lot that serves as a centerpiece for any high-end misprint collection.
Card conditions are great as seen in images.
