Provenance and authenticity notes:
From an italian private collection. The work is published on the 1988 Fabbri editori catalog of the "Verde Fisico" exhibition in Aosta, Italy. (see images) It bears the same title of this important and well documented exhibition, one that Schifano had during his lifetime, and one of the rare ones in which he realize ALL ad -hoc works, working directly in Aosta in a dedicated studio.
Certificate of authenticity by the Mario Schifano Foundation, the only recognized archive existing at the time of registration. The certificate bears the handwriting of Monica Schifano, currently presiding over the new "Archivio Schifano" in Rome, as well as the then current President's signature.
