In the 1970s Jaeger-LeCoultre was not afraid to play with gold and colour, and the Vogue ref. 9014 is a good example of how far they were willing to go.
What we love: the lapis style dial ring with roman numerals.
The case is 18k solid gold with a textured finish on the front, completely untouched, so the sharp lines are still present and show no polishing was done throughout the years. The gold dial is framed by a lapis-style ring carrying the Roman numerals, a combination that reminds you of jewellery rather than watchmaking.
What makes this example really special is the size. This is the large version of the 9014, measuring 32 × 25 mm, with a very small production number. You almost never see one, and when you do, it is usually the smaller version.
Inside is the manual-wound JLC caliber 818/2, working very well, and the watch is sold with a JLC strap.
The watch comes with a one-year warranty on the movement.
Being a watchmaker trained at WOSTEP, every watch sold by BRUTTO was either serviced or regulated to the highest possible industry standards.
