Introduction
The Greaseweazle V4.1 is the latest generation of Keir Fraser’s well-known USB floppy adapter.
It allows reading and writing floppy disks at the raw “flux level”, making it suitable for Amiga, Atari, CPC, PDP-11, synthesizer, and industrial formats. A wide range of image formats is supported, including ADF, IPF, DSK, IMG, HFE, and many others.
The set comes in a 3D-printed enclosure made of matte white (“bone”) PLA (designed by Tom Dalby), including an used floppy drive. (Depending on availability, the drive is manufactured by TEAC, SONY, MITSUMI, Y-E DATA, NEC, or ALPS.) The enclosure is additionally equipped with a power LED.

Compatibility
Windows 10/11, current Linux distributions (e.g., Debian), and macOS with the official Greaseweazle software v1.22.
The official software and documentation are available publicly on GitHub under “keirf / greaseweazle”.
For Windows, there is an alternative graphical frontend (“FluxMyFluffyFloppy”), an add-on for the original software.

The drive is operated using the --drive=B flag.
