Loaded pickguard from 2007 Fender American Standard Stratocaster.
100% functional.
Cosmetically, the pickguard shows some light scratches that don't show up in photo's.
The 2007 Fender American Series Stratocaster comes equipped with the Delta Tone™ system, which features a no-load tone control on the bottom tone knob (Tone 2) wired to the middle and bridge pickups.
A 2007 Fender Strat American Standard loaded pickguard with the Delta Tone™ system is a highly sought-after drop-in upgrade that features a high-output bridge pickup paired with a specialized "No-Load" tone pot. This specific configuration was standard on Fender American Series and American Standard Stratocasters from the late 1990s through 2007, offering players a mix of traditional vintage sparkle and raw, unadulterated single-coil punch.
The 2007 Delta Tone system differs from standard Stratocaster wiring due to its pickup output balancing and specialised pot wiring:
- The Pickups: Typically features standard American Strat single-coils wound with Alnico V magnets and Polysol wire. The neck and middle pickups are usually wound to around 5.9k Ohms, while the hotter Delta Tone bridge pickup is overwound to roughly 7.3k Ohms for increased output and midrange drive.
- The Delta Tone "No-Load" Pot: The bottom tone control operates as a standard 250k pot from settings 1 through 9. However, clicking it into position 10 completely bypasses the pot and capacitor from the circuit. This removes all load from the middle and bridge pickups, delivering direct, unfiltered pickup signal to the output jack for maximum brightness and clarity.
- Control Layout: Master Volume, Tone 1 (Neck pickup), and Tone 2 (No-Load pot controlling Middle and Bridge pickups) paired with a standard 5-way selector switch.
