Denmark. Rare octagonal trio from the amazing AZUR line of Jens Harald Quistgaards (IHQ) design. He is also famous for having designed the amazing RELIEF, CORDIAL and UMBRA lines.
The azur line was produced by Kronjyden and Nissen in the 1960s and later by Bing & Grøndahl. A great example of danish ceramic design.
The pattern, a small embossed flower in a beautiful grey color, is simple and elegant. The flower is said to be inspired by cherry blossoms.
Plate, cup and saucer are marked with the Kronjyden stamp.
