Nick ist besessen von Erebos, einem Computerspiel, das an seiner Schule von Hand zu Hand weitergereicht wird. Die Regeln sind äußerst streng: Jeder hat nur eine Chance, Erebos zu spielen. Er muss dabei immer allein sein und darf mit niemandem über Erebos reden. Wer dagegen verstößt oder seine Aufgaben nicht erfüllt, fliegt raus und kann das Spiel nicht mehr starten. Was aber am merkwürdigsten ist: Erebos erteilt Aufträge, die in der realen Welt ausgeführt werden müssen. Und dann befiehlt das Spiel Nick, einen Menschen umzubringen.

Nick is obsessed with Erebos, a computer game that is passed from hand to hand at his school. The rules are extremely strict: everyone only has one chance to play Erebos. He must always be alone and may not talk to anyone about Erebos. Anyone who breaks the rules or fails to fulfil their tasks is kicked out and can no longer start the game. But the strangest thing is that Erebos gives orders that have to be carried out in the real world. And then the game orders Nick to kill a person.
