The Switching Interface decodes a block of 16 channels from a
standard PMX (Pulsar MultipleX) / DMX (Digital MultipleX) data
link to produce switching outputs suitable for driving from 1 to 16
Strobes/Switching channels.
The unit is fitted with mounting flanges making it ideal for wall,
ceiling or rig mounting close to the Strobes or Switching Packs it
will drive.
The Interface works by giving a +15 Volt (approximately) level out
when the PMX or DMX channel level is greater than 50%. When
the channels level is below 50% the output will be 0V. The output
impedance of each channel is 270W.
All the Pulsar range of Strobes flash on the positive edge of the
signal, therefore the strobe will trigger each time the channel goes
above the 50% threshold.
The unit can be used to drive Switching Packs via the DIN
sockets or Strobes via the jack sockets, or a combination of both.
