Short Antenna Type II Extended PCMCIA IEEE802.11b Wireless LAN Card
The i-connect™ Short Antenna Type II Extended PCMCIA Card is an 11 Mbits/s wireless networking card with a range of up to 550 m (1750 ft); ideally suited for operation in the enterprise, ISP, public access, home, and SOHO environments.
With its PC Card Type II extended form factor, low power consumption, advanced power management, and rugged design (with antenna on the card), the card is ideally suited for integration into mobile and handheld platforms.
The card uses direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) technology, and implements differential binary phase shift keying (DBPSK), differential quadrature phase shift keying (DQPSK), and complementary code keying (CCK) modulation, as defined in the IEEE802.11b standard. This provides a very robust radio channel, which is improved even more by the excellent receiver sensitivity and delay spread robustness.
In environments with radio interference, the card is kept running by its acknowledgment protocol and the option to be tuned to another frequency channel.
